Course: Emulsion Formulation Technology
19-20 September 2018
”Very knowledgeable and inspiring lecturers!”**
“The handouts were well-structured and easy to understand. Graphics/graphs made it very easy to grasp the more ”advanced” topics.”**
This biannual, 2-day course covers fundamental and practical aspects of the formulation of emulsions with surfactants, macromolecules and particles. The course aims at providing an overview of the combined effect of physicochemistry, composition and emulsification protocols on the stability and properties of emulsified systems. 46% of the participants in 2016 rated this course as excellent; 54% as good.
Surface Analysis and Characterization – an Instrument Workshop
28 November 2018
” I got a good overview of the different available techniques. The information was presented in a way that made it easy to assess if the technique could be useful in my work.”*
A one-day workshop on surface analysis and characterization instruments. During the day you will have the opportunity to get acquainted with a range of different techniques. During stops in the laboratories of SP Chemistry, Materials and Surface in Stockholm you will get concise information from our specialists and see the instruments. At the end of the day you will have acquired a better understanding of how results from these techniques can be used by your company/organization in research, product and process development and troubleshooting. This workshop is intended for engineers, laboratory personnel and scientists working with research, development or quality control of products for which surface or interfacial properties have a major impact on product performance. 33% of the participants 2016 rated this workshop as excellent; 67% as good.
2018 Annual Meeting of ”Cleaning Innovation- a test bed for cleaning and disinfection”
29 November 2018
Cleaning Innovation(http://cleaninginnovation.se/) is an open and neutral test bed created to assist companies in the development and evaluation of environmentally smart and efficient methods for cleaning and disinfection within a range of industrial sectors including food, home and personal care. It provides independent evaluation of technologies, chemicals, materials, equipment and methods from laboratory to industrial scale. The annual meeting provides an opportunity for researchers and industrialists to get acquainted with the latest developments in the area.
We can also arrange courses at your company.

Workshop: Positioning Formulation in future EU Framework Programmes
15 February 2018
The workshop aims at contributing to the development of a clear research and innovation agenda for the upcoming EU Framework Programme, but will also serve for positioning in national programmes and for networking with Swedish actors in the formulation area. The workshop will be part of a series of workshops organised in the UK, Germany, Sweden, Belgium and France and takes place within the context of AceForm4.0 (http://formulation-network.eu/). This is a Coordination and Support Action funded by the EU Commission, set up to establish and support collaborations across different formulation industries and throughout the value chain.
Course: Colloid Chemistry and Colloidal Dispersions
22-24 May 2018
“It was very intense but we got a good overview of the field”*
“The information in the handouts is clear and really easy to follow.” *
This 3-day intensive course provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental and practical aspects of colloid chemistry and colloidal dispersions. The course is focused on particles that are dispersed in liquids. Nearby topics, such as surfactant chemistry, polymers in solution and emulsions, are also covered to some degree in order to make the course complete on a stand-alone basis. The course is relevant for industrialists, researchers and students working with development and formulation of any colloidal system, be it paints, coatings, ceramics, food or pharmaceutical formulations. 77% of the participants in 2017 rated this course as excellent; 23% as good.
